An acknowledgment mail is shared from SecureNow when the endorsement data is received and forwarded to the insurer for further processing. This usually takes up to 7 days (for private) & 15 days (for PSU) from the day the data was received. It would take 5 more working days to share e-cards if applicable. Physical cards are no longer required to make a claim. In case you don’t have an e-card, you can use your policy copy for the same. The enrolment number with a valid government ID proof is sufficient to initiate a cashless claim.
The current CD left and available balance is also mentioned to the policyholder. It is always advisable to maintain at least 10% of the initial premium amount as CD balance.
Employees and dependents who are enrolled within 30 days of their joining are covered from Day 1, subject to availability of CD balance.
If the CD balance falls short to process an endorsement, the complete endorsement will be put on hold. Insurers do not process selective endorsement, as this entails adverse risk selection.
